Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun are no newbies to the music scene. Since 2009 they keep people guessing what genre they are playing. Not being able to put a label on it didn’t stop the fans from liking them. Maybe they are just on a crusade to take over.
Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun. The day after that the Galaxy. Their name sounds for me as a dark and light reference to Yin – Yang, and I love it! The quartet consists of guitarist Cregg Gibson, keyboardist and vocalist Lauren Gipson, bassist Micah Silverman and drummer Jeremy Cole. I may be bias by saying this – but they do remind me a lot of one of my favorite bands “Daughter”. It’s nearly like a mixture of “Daughter” and “Florence + The Machine”. Laurens voice sounds haunting and pulls you into a world full of uplifting and powerful music. The song “Powerline” radiates energy in every word of the lyrics. It is clearly recognizable that in this one the focus is on the music – the lyrics are the background dancers in a colorful musical that plays before your eyes. Go and check out the album QUADS!
